LIvVE ONLINE GUIDE

Voice Chatting

Set up and troubleshoot microphone/voice features.

Before using voice

Connect a working microphone and confirm Windows can hear it before troubleshooting LIvVE. The exact Windows control-panel wording varies by Windows version and audio driver.

  1. Check the Windows input device.Select the microphone you intend to use and confirm its input meter responds.
  2. Open LIvVE audio settings.Use the client Tools/Options audio or microphone settings available in your build.
  3. Join a voice-capable room.Voice controls only become meaningful in rooms/lobbies that support audio.
  4. Test at a moderate level.Avoid maximum microphone gain because clipping and background noise make speech harder to understand.

If nobody can hear you

  • Make sure the microphone is not muted in Windows or in the client.
  • Check that another application has not taken exclusive control of the input device.
  • Confirm you joined a voice-enabled room.
  • Reconnect to the room after changing audio devices.
  • Test with another microphone/application to separate a Windows device problem from a LIvVE problem.

Good voice etiquette

Keep background noise low, avoid broadcasting extremely loud audio, and mute your microphone when you step away for a long period. Room moderators can apply additional rules for events or hosted rooms.
