Join rooms, send text messages and use common room actions.
Join a room
- Choose a lobby.Use the LIvVE lobby directory or the client's lobby navigation.
- Select a room.Rooms can be public, moderated, locked or password protected depending on how they were created.
- Enter and wait for the member list.Once connected, the room member list and chat area become active.
- Type your message.Enter text in the message field and send it. Supported LIvVE emoji shortcuts render in the chat display.
Create a room
Where room creation is enabled, choose the client option to create a room, enter a clear room name and description, set the maximum number of members and decide whether a password is required. Moderators are responsible for the room while they control it.
Useful room actions
- Mute a member when you do not want to receive their chat/audio.
- View Profile to learn more about another member.
- Page a member for a direct conversation.
- Invite a member to your current location when the client offers that action.
- Refresh/Reconnect if the lobby member list stops updating.
Keep room topics readable.
Use a useful room name and description. If a conversation needs private account information, move it to the appropriate private/support channel instead of posting credentials in public chat.
