Set up webcams and troubleshoot video rooms.

Getting on camera

  1. Connect and test the webcam in Windows.Verify the camera works before opening LIvVE.
  2. Join a video-capable lobby/room.Not every room exposes camera features.
  3. Enable your camera.Use the camera/video control provided by the client and grant Windows privacy permission when required.
  4. Adjust quality for your connection.If video is delayed or choppy, reduce resolution/quality before assuming the room is at fault.

Video is blank or says no connection

  • Close other apps using the webcam.
  • Confirm Windows camera privacy settings allow desktop applications.
  • Reconnect to the room after changing the camera.
  • Try a lower quality/resolution on slow or unstable connections.
  • If only one person's camera is unavailable, the problem may be at the broadcaster's end.
Privacy reminder

Only enable a camera when you are comfortable with what is visible behind you. Treat live video as recordable even when the room feels private.
