LIvVE ONLINE GUIDE

Quick Reference

A visual guide to the main LIvVE client, Pager and lobby controls.

Four parts of the classic client

The classic LIvVE client is easiest to understand as four connected areas: the main chat/lobby window, the Pager, the system-tray menu and your member identity. The screenshots below are restored from the original LIvVE help library.

Chat and lobbies

  • Select a lobby from the client or website lobby directory.
  • Enter an existing room or create one when your account has permission.
  • Use the text-entry area for normal messages and supported emojis/emoticons.
  • Voice/video controls appear only where those features are available.

Members and the Pager

Right-clicking or otherwise selecting a member exposes actions appropriate to your client version, such as viewing a profile, paging, adding a buddy, inviting the member, muting, or reporting a problem. The Pager can remain useful even when you are not in the same room as the other member.

Website account controls

Profile, portrait, password, downloads and website theme settings are now managed through My Account on LIvVE.online. The older client-side account button may still open or point toward account functions, but the website is the authoritative place for current portal settings.
