LIvVE ONLINE GUIDE

Technical FAQ

Troubleshoot the LIvVE Windows client, connections, audio/video and installation.

First checks

  1. Use the current LIvVE build.Download the version currently supplied from LIvVE.online instead of relying on an old installer.
  2. Restart the client.Close all LIvVE windows/processes before trying again.
  3. Check the service page/network.Confirm ordinary websites load and that local firewall/security software is not blocking LIvVE.
  4. Test one feature at a time.Separate sign-in, lobby connection, chat, audio and video problems.

Supported platform

The classic LIvVE desktop client is a Windows application. Current modernization work targets Windows 10/11 compatibility. The website itself should be opened in a normal current web browser when possible.

Cannot connect to a lobby

  • Confirm the account can sign in successfully.
  • Try another lobby to determine whether the issue is lobby-specific.
  • Temporarily check whether local firewall/security software is blocking the client.
  • If you recently changed network/VPN/proxy settings, test without them where appropriate.
  • Reconnect the client completely rather than repeatedly refreshing a stale session.

Audio/video troubleshooting

Verify the microphone/camera in Windows first. Then open LIvVE, select the intended device, and reconnect to the room after device changes. If video is unstable, reduce quality/resolution.

Installation problem

Restart Windows, download a fresh copy from the current LIvVE download area, close old client processes, and check whether security software quarantined a file. Do not mix files from unrelated old installations unless you are intentionally performing a developer/test build.

When contacting support

Include the exact error text/code, what you were doing immediately before it happened, whether it happens every time, and which LIvVE component is affected. Screenshots and timestamps are especially useful.
